Good recap Inf. Just as eventful as the actual battles themselves.

By Infernus on Sunday, April 4, 2004 - 04:48 pm:

I was going for the "Give the people the feeling that they were actually there" effect. By your reply, I'm guessing I did good, eh?

By DarkPalidan on Sunday, April 4, 2004 - 04:51 pm:

Very good. You couldnt have done anything else though.

By Omegablue on Sunday, April 4, 2004 - 07:52 pm:

thanks for the recap buddy

By Da_Mullet on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 04:16 am:

I might have to stop giving up video games for lent(over on sunday)so I can beat my monsters into shape. Great recap, but I won't even bother entering if they do that.

By MrGG on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 07:47 am:

I respect you for giving them up in the first place, Da_Mullet.

By Ominidot on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 04:40 pm:

i was there recording damage too.... but then my computer froze and my writing Program shut off.......still all hail infernus master of recaps...well this one anyway.

By Infernus on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 04:52 pm:

Velo is the master of all recaps, except this one, but he would've been if he was there. Let us never speak of this again.

By Da_Mullet on Monday, April 5, 2004 - 06:15 pm:

speak of what again? **winkwink**

By Strunks on Thursday, April 8, 2004 - 02:15 pm:

Too many KOs...is this what mr4 tourneys are gonna be like? Who raises the monster that's able to kill the fastest?! ><

Just kidding..kinda.

By mepersoner on Thursday, April 8, 2004 - 10:25 pm:

Depends if the monsters get stronger or not. I mean, maybe this is as strong as they're supposed to get, but maybe at some point they'll be getting as strong as the ones in MR/2/3.

By MrGG on Friday, April 9, 2004 - 07:44 am:

The clock stops when an attack is launched. That's why there is alot of K.O.'s

By Infernus on Friday, April 9, 2004 - 10:47 am:

Yah...it's kind of stupid that way...

By CHB on Friday, April 9, 2004 - 10:45 pm:

Yeah, so much for the MR2 'stall' tactic. Using up the clock by executing your longest move when you were ahead.

By Ominidot on Saturday, April 10, 2004 - 01:25 am:

Perhaps the programmers wanted to go a for a live short kill fast monster fighting style instead of the "use up time by using loong time consuming attacks like bomb(ape) or gigaflame(pixie) as was commonly used in mr2 not to do damage but to take up time in battles where they were in the lead and wanted to use the clock to their advantage" either that......or they speedohoilics and have watched "2 fast 2 furious" 2 many times...But they still rule for creating the game in the first place...maybe and idea for mr5 (which should be posted in the section for mr5 suggestions and I promise to get around to doing it) is that monsters have higher lifes in the game beyond 999 to make it last longer. Its pretty obvious that players like to inflict alot of damage but if programmers continue to make monsters more powerful and keep the Hit Points and time limits on battles the same....were gonna have to have a photo finish to ditermine wins.

That would be kinda cool though....Firestorm, ready the Kodak.

(hugely overexaggerating)

They haven't been thinking straight with battle structure lately. ><
