while chatting last night with carl, the subject of "who's a better monster - undines or pixies?" came up. carl seemed kinda surprised that i thought undines were better.

since there are a lot of possible variables, let me explain my answer more fully here. i am assuming that i have raised both according to my normal pattern - they are both in stage 4, with stats something like 350/150/950/950/950/550. both have an int attack in every category [except none for pixie in close]. neither has all of their possible attacks, but pixie has at least megaray, lightning and bang, and undine has at least ice coffin, hailstorm, ice arrow and the two close in int attacks [cant remember their name right now]. i think undine wins the majority of the encounters between the two.

any other opinions out there? feel free to adjust my assumptions to fit your own experience; this is just my usual raising pattern.

I know that my Pixies with 999INT and Big Bang still couldn't KO a lot of the monsters in the Big 4. I don't know if Undines are different but if they don't have this disadvantage than they might be better....I highly doubt it tho!^_^

You have life and power at much lower levels than the rest of the stacks. With a Kasumi pixie, I'm able to have a more balanced monster.
Were those scores for your undine or pixie? How old is it? Is it a first generation monster?
I'm going to do a comparision, myself. What kind of undine do you recommend that I use, Torey?

these are scores for both. equal stats. i recommend the pure undine. both are 2d gen or higher.

i guess what im saying is that i think the undine attacks are better. i'd be interested in reading the results of a fair fight.

I'd put my Undines I've raised against any of my Pixies.

I haven't train a pixie or undine but base on the T.V. show I would have to place my money on pixie
she have the simple advantage of flying.

flying is a big advantage - but its hard to fly in a hailstorm!
